CHRISTINA & NATHAN'S WEDDING

PINK, CORAL and PEACH BRIDAL BOUQUET

ST. BERNADETTE - AJAX, ONTARIO
PORT WHITBY MARINA - WHITBY, ONTARIO

Photos by Streetcar Design Co.

When Christina, her mom and lovely grandmother attended their initial consult, they thought an all blush bouquet would be dreamy, but later in the process asked would I mind if we added some coral and pinks to the mix.  Would I mind? Heck no!  I'd been dying to create a pink and coral bouquet.  We chose gorgeous garden and standard roses in shades ranging from the softest blush to the hottest pink.  We added lipstick coloured zinnias and ranunculas, cream spray roses and pink heather to the mix.  Although the flowers weren't tropical their colours had that bright tropical vibe.  It seemed only fitting seeing as some family members traveled from the Caribbean Islands to attend their wedding.  Christina and her family were so genuinely warm and friendly!  I loved working with them.

HEATHER & JASON

WOODLAND THEMED WEDDING

NEWCASTLE TOWN HALL - NEWCASTLE, ONTARIO

Photos by Beautiful Life Studio

I was excited for my meeting with Heather as she planned to have a woodland themed wedding!  They planned for their ceremony to take place in the woods on her family's country property.  The lovely setting nature provided meant we didn't need to do much to create a beautiful spot for the "I do's".  A mulched aisle and rose and ferns chair markers was all it needed.  Heather and her ladies carried lush bouquets of garden roses and white flowers with lots of greens.  The sweet flower girl wore a crown of greens and dainty white flowers.  The reception followed at the historic Newcastle Town Hall with its traditional elegance, 25 ft ceilings, 8 ft wainscotting and original hardwood flooring.  Gorgeous!  The woodland theme continued in the magnificent hall, adorn with small trees and lots of ferns and greenery flowing along and down the head table.  Flickering candles added to the romance.   Loads of candles and greens continued on guests tables and around the lounge area bringing the woodlands indoors.

EMILY & SAM

 LAVENDER AND BLUE wedding flowers

LEAKSDALE - ONTARIO

My design philosophy is to keep flowers as nature intended, so when a bride asks for blue flowers, it can be a bit tricky.   Spring is the time when we have the best choice for blue flowers here in Ontario, but Emily's wedding was in the heat of August.  Never wanting to disappoint my bride, I managed to source delicate blue delphiniums for her bouquet and the blue thistle added lovely texture and contrast.  Don't you love how the dainty delphinium blossoms in Emily's loose flowing curls add a hint of blue in her blonde hair.  So pretty!

samantha & dave'S INTIMATE WEDDING

WHITE and GREEN WEDDING FLOWERS

HARVEST RESTAURANT - BROOKLIN, ONTARIO

Samantha's intimate wedding was pure romance.  From the beautiful lace bodice and sleeves of her gown to the classic white and blush garden rose bridal bouquet, everything was truly elegant.  Weeping willows and twinkling patio lights added a soft natural intimacy to their wedding.  Samantha made a stunning bride.  I only hope she wasn't upstaged by her cute little flower girl.

Laura and Jakob were married on a lovely late autumn day.  I'm still obsessing over those tiers of lace on her gown!  The jewel tones of her bouquet mimicked the season perfectly.  One of my favourite colour palettes of the season.

YUKARI & DARREN

pINK AND BLUSH WEDDING FLOWERS

SUMMERLEA GOLF COURSE - PORT PERRY, ONTARIO

It was a glorious sunny day in September for Yukari and Darren's outdoor wedding.  The ceremony took place on top of a hill sheltered by gently swaying trees.  The air heady with the scent of rose as guests took in beautiful views of the countryside.  Blush wedding flowers continue to be one of the most popular colour palettes with brides and with flowers as gorgeous as these, I understand why.  Yukari and Darren's wedding went on to be featured in Beautiful Beginnings Bridal Magazine.
