Bespoke Wedding Flowers

EDITORIALS featuring flowers created by Carol-Anne Barnes

Real Weddings and Editorials featuring garden inspired wedding flowers designed by Carol-Anne Barnes Bespoke Wedding Flowers. Featured in Style Me Pretty, Wedding Chicks, Wedding Belles, BuzzFeed and many others.

The beautiful rolling hills of Dreamcrest Manor and Equestrian Centre in Port Perry, Ontario, was the location of this gorgeous country luxe editorial.  We featured equestrian details prominently!  Our sweets table had the cutest cupcakes, each adorned with a gold Gucci inspired horse bit charm.  Actual horseshoes painted with each guest's name in gold calligraphy acted as place cards on our al fresco dining tables.  A Venetian mirror announced to guests they'd find their table assignment on our unique Rose escort cards.  And we can't forget Charley the horse, who stole the show proudly wearing a wreath of Italian Ruscus, Seeded Eucalyptus, Garden Roses and Dahlias. We're confident our horse loving brides will find loads of inspiration in the details of this photo shoot.

blush wedding editorial

For this shoot elegant feminine details were in abundance.  From the Bride's lace gown with its splendid crystal bodice to the lush bouquet full of romantic blooms in soft pinks, blush and cream, everything spoke a feminine language.  Continuing the overload of girly, our set was draped with lace and a dazzling crystal chandelier provided glitter and that sparkle that reflects so beautifully in photographs.  The only aspect of our shoot that wasn't girly was the Groom, as we feel most men prefer to be less "flowery".  A boutonniere of textural and velvety greens and just a few berries conveyed the masculine, yet elegant look we were after.

red & Pink berry editorial

This was my first time working with a red and pink palette and I have to say it's become a favourite.  I just love how all the colours pop!  Velvety deep red roses contrast beautifully with the delicate pinks in this bouquet, while not one, but four different colours of hypericum berries add a textural element that cries out to be touched.  The berry theme and bold colour palette continued onto our tablescape that was resplendent in sweet berry deliciousness and copper accents.

Sagewood Farms with its ancient trees, fields of green and rustic, but beautiful barn set amongst the bucolic scenery of Port Perry was the ideal setting for our Vintage Industrial and Boho Photo Shoots.  The Boho portion of this photo shoot went on to be featured in Style Me Pretty.

I was asked by JoAnne Haley to design flowers for this fine art photo shoot that went on to be published in Belle Lumiere Magazine. The shoot encapsulated a day in the life of a bride to be as she planned her intimate wedding at a country estate. We imagined her waking up to a farm style breakfast, daydreaming about her love and penning a beautiful note to him. We followed her through her wanderings on the estate with Poppy her pet chicken, ending with the bride posed in the courtyard where their reception took place.

We were blessed with incredible weather this mid October day with temperatures reaching a balmy 32 degrees. Capturing photos by the stables included running a gauntlet of roosters! The morning portion of our shoot took place in a beautifully converted 1863 church the Hartman Gallery in Mount Albert, Ontario, now a B&B and wedding/event venue. In the afternoon we moved on to the nearby Poplar Hill Equestrian Estate in Udora, Ontario to capture the courtyard reception and of course, shots of the well behaved Poppy.

Autumn is my favourite season and so is this flower colour palette! Hope you enjoy it too.
